WARSAW — The Warsaw School Corporation has started making the dream of a new Lincoln Elementary and renovated Washington Elementary and Edgewood Middle School a reality.
Monday, Feb. 15, the construction began with trees being removed from the front of the WCS administration building to make a new road to access Washington Elementary.

The development plans for renovations were unanimously approved by the Warsaw Plan Commission on all three school projects Dec. 14, during its regular meeting. There were no negative comments against the project from commission members or the members present. There were, however, some questions concerning traffic at Washington and Edgewood.
Bill Pochron, who lives near Washington and Edgewood, expressed concern over the twice-daily congestion in the area around both Edgewood and Washington, not only on immediate streets of Kincaid, Union, Logan and Fisher, but also Winona Avenue.
The focus for Washington is for traffic to come off Logan and Fisher.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
