FORT WAYNE — Looking to break from the traditional Valentine’s Day weekend activities and try something a little “edgy?” Then look no further than Science Central, 1950 N. Clinton St., Fort Wayne. The popular science center will host its second annual 21 and over murder mystery event, “My Cold-Hearted Valentine — Season 2” beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12.

This is the third event in Science Central’s well-received, adults-only program. “We like to push the envelope a little bit with the themes of these events and the public has really seemed to enjoy it quite a bit,” said Martin S. Fisher, executive director. “We look forward to continuing with these fun and interactive science-based events.”

Guests will enjoy a night of great food, drinks and mingling while interviewing suspects and learning techniques used by forensic scientists to investigate murder cases. Professionals with Fort Wayne-Allen County Health Department, Fort Wayne Police Department and Lutheran Health Network will be on hand to assist patrons with the “murder” as they try to solve the crime.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase from The Hoppy Gnome, J.K. O’Donnell’s and Sweets So Geek. Proceeds from the event will go to support the ongoing mission of Science Central, its role in regional STEM education and as a popular tourist attraction for thousands of visitors every year.

Doors open at 6 p.m. The cost is 25 per person or 35 per couple with pre-registration, or $3 per person, $40 per couple at the door.
