WARSAW — Members of the Warsaw High School FCCLA want to raise awareness of issues like climate change and they are starting with their own community.
Friday evening, Feb. 5, members gathered outside the Kosciusko County Recycling Depot, signs in hand. Undaunted by the cold and the light snow that had begun to fall, they marched toward the downtown, chanting their message, “save our earth,” as passing vehicles honked their support.
Maria Duenas and Estefani Ramirez headed up the project.
“We’re hoping to raise awareness and get people to make changes in their lives and hopefully influence our politicians to make policies that will benefit the earth,” Duenas said.
