SYRACUSE — Turkey Creek Fire Department and Syracuse EMS were called to a single vehicle accident this morning around 8:55 a.m. at 9765 E. 1350N, Syracuse.

Driver Alyxandria Wert, 18, Silver Lake, reportedly lost control of her vehicle while traveling west on the icy roads, causing her to strike a line of trees and telephone box.

Wert was checked at the scene by medics after complaining of head pain, but signed off on any injuries.
