Beckham Shines, Warsaw Rising
WARSAW – Remi Beckham had a night to remember and Warsaw posted its top gymnastics score of the season Wednesday night. Beckham had the top score in all four disciplines and the top all-around figure as Warsaw beat visiting Marion 94.35-65.1 in the Whitman facility.
Beckham posted scores of 8.7 on vault, 7.8 on bars, 8.2 on beam and 8.625 on floor to total a 33.325 in all-around, easily the top individual at the meet.
Hayley Campbell and Anna Wainscott both competed in all-around for the Tigers. Campbell went 8.0 on vault, 6.95 on bars, 7.45 on beam and 7.85 on floor to score a 30.25 all-around. Wainscott had a 7.8 on vault, 7.2 on bars, 7.775 on beam and 7.95 on floor to score a 30.725 in all-around numbers.
Nadiya Burritt competed in everything but floor for Warsaw, scoring 7.85 on vault, 4.6025 on bars and 5.35 on beam.
Marion had Tiffany Seeler score 8.25 on vault in the second-best showing in the event, and Seeler also scored 7.7 on beam to finish third.
Warsaw is 2-3 in dual matches this season and will take part in the Lakeland Invitational this weekend in a sectional preview for the end of the month.
