Valley Girls At No. 18 In IBCA Poll
The Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team sits at No. 18 in this week’s Coaches’ Poll.
The Vikings, who begin sectional play versus Wawasee on Tuesday night, are 21-1 on the season. Princeton, the defending Class 3-A state champion, is No. 1 in this week’s IBCA Poll. Princeton, which is led by Notre Dame recruit and the state’s all-time leading scorer in Jackie Young, is 26-0. The only other undefeated girls team in the state is Springs Valley (21-0).
Penn checks in at No. 6 in the poll with St. Joseph at No. 8 and Oregon-Davis at No. 13.
Among the teams receiving votes are Whitko, Rochester, Northridge, Westview, South Bend Adams and Central Noble.
