Patricia Patty Ann GieslerPatricia “Patty”Ann Giesler, daughter of the late Robert and Marian McKenzie, entered her eternal home in heaven on Jan. 29, 2016.

Patty was born on Oct. 25, 1939, in Harrisburg, Pa., the oldest child of five. Patty moved with her family to Silver Lake, Indiana when she was 16 years old. She graduated from Silver Lake High School.

She was a great nurturer and was always putting others before herself. Patty had a huge capacity to love — she had the biggest heart. Other people recognized her genuine love — and they would instantly know how much she cared.

Patty owned and operated the Fashionette Beauty Salon in Akron, for many years. She was loved deeply by her customers; one even arrived by tractor during a winter storm so Patty could do her hair.

Patty loved life and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed walking, nature and going to the beach. She loved to dance, loved to laugh and, especially loved to shop. Most of all Patty loved the Lord, always looking for ways to deepen her faith. She had a special place in her heart for missionaries. God gifted her with a huge capacity to love others, especially her family.

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Sonny” Giesler and her sister, Linda Carmen.

Patty is survived by two daughters: Tammy (Chris) McClone of Pierceton; Kim Combs (Jeff), Upland, Calif.; one son: Jamie (Pam,) Norman, Silver Lake; and one stepson; Dan Giesler, Fort Collins, Colo.; eight grandchildren: Dustin McClone, Aaron McClone, Bethany McGrew, Tyler Phillips, Niki Horton, Geoffrey Combs, Joshua Norman and Dekota Norman; and two step-grandchildren: Jessi Giesler and Etta Giesler. Patty is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.

Patty will be greatly missed by her friends and family but the knowledge that she is with Jesus gives them peace and comfort. A celebration of her life will be held on Feb. 2 at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Claypool. Friends may call upon the family from 10 to 11 a.m. with a service of celebration beginning at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Helping Hands in Motion a mission organization that helps establish and nurture churches in Haiti and India. Checks can be sent to HHIM 743 NW Biscayne Dr.Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
