We start off this week with Lose It @ The Library at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31. Come in and get your weight registered by one of the program’s qualified nurses, and we will help keep you accountable with your New Year’s resolution.

The Beginning Genealogy class will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2. This is the first installment of four sessions for the class. This is a valuable class for beginners who want to learn how to start researching their family history or as a refresher for those who have been away from it for a while.

At 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, the Ladies’ Drum Circle will meet. This meditation group is led by Pirkko Miller.

Get your creative juices flowing at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, with Hope Beezley teaching the monthly Make and Take Card class. The $7 class fee includes all supplies for making your own original greeting cards; plus you get to take home the cards you make in class. Pre-registration is needed, so stop by the Circulation Desk or call (574) 834-7122 to get your name on the list.

At 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, the kids can gather in the Library Meeting Room for crafts and stories where they can do a fun craft while listening to stories.

Take Your Child to the Library Day is Saturday, Feb. 6. Join us in this international “Take Your Child to the Library Day”. Bring your child to the library, check out some books, access educational activities on our computers, take home a Play Buddy Kit, and explore all the resources available at the library to help your child grow and learn. Be sure to stop by the Make-It/Take-It Craft Table to do a fun craft and take home some coloring sheets, bookmarks, and handouts too. “Take Your Child to the Library Day” is an international celebration that raises awareness about the importance of the library in children’s lives and shows kids that reading and learning is fun. Plus, it’s a great way to spend a special day with your child.
