Richard L. Curtis, 71, of Syracuse, passed away at 2:47 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at I.U. Goshen Hospital in Goshen.

He was born on Nov. 22, 1944, in Elkhart, to Kenneth E. and Esther L. (Pippen) Curtis.

He graduated from high school in Georgia, moved to the Syracuse area 20 years ago from Chicago and had formerly lived in Atlanta, Ga.; Kansas City, Mo.; and Connecticut.

He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse

He is survived by a brother: Robert A. (Leah) Curtis.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, with Pastor David Henry of the church officiating.

Memorial bequest may be given to the Calvary United Methodist Church, 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN 46567. Envelopes will be available at the church.
