
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 20, on two charges of battery.
Kailey M. Schue, 23, 1692 E. CR 200N, Warsaw, was arrested for a count I domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor and a count II domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, filed Sept. 23, 2015, with Kosciusko Superior Court, Warsaw, Corporal Travis Shively with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a domestic battery call at Schue’s residence.
When Shively arrived he talked with Shue’s husband, the victim, who stated his wife came into the bedroom where he was sleeping and starting yelling at him and striking him in the face. It was reported during the attack Schue’s wedding ring scratched the inside of the husband’s arm.
Shively interviewed witnesses at the home. One stated he heard Schue yelling at her husband and calling him names. The witness also stated he heard the sound of someone being slapped and heard the husband say, “Stop hitting me.”
The second witness reported she heard Schue yelling and entered the bedroom to find out what the commotion was. She said she saw Schue bent over the husband. When Schue realized someone had entered the room she picked up some unknown items and left the residence.
There was a minor child in the room and witnessed Schue hitting her husband.
Schue was held on a $5,000 surety with a $250 cash bond.
