LAKEVILLE – For the second time in four days, LaVille edged Triton on the wrestling mat, scoring a 42-37 win Tuesday night.

After beating Triton by 13 at the Knox Super Duals Saturday afternoon, LaVille had just enough depth to carry out the deed on its home mat.

LaVille used a series of pins to score its points. Edgar Albarado, Dakota Figg, Anthony Felke, Bryant Hunsberger, Corrian Correll, Dalton Ison and Alex Steinke to accumulate its point total. The clincher came at 152 when Hunsberger pinned Vincent Helton for the decisive six-point swing in the final bout.

Triton got pins from Adonic Salinas, Nick Harker and John Salinas. Malachi Greene had a decision and Gage Waddle got a major decision. Miles Ortiz and Bryce Swihart were awarded forfeits.

Triton drops to 14-12 in the team standings with a dual next scheduled for Jan. 21 against Culver Academy.
