AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball team came out on the short end of a 50-41 final to Plymouth Saturday night.

The visiting Pilgrims outscored the Vikings 30-25 in the second half to earn the non-conference win. The game was tied at 12-12 after the opening period and Plymouth led 20-16 at halftime.

Gavin Bussard led the way for Valley with 13 points.

Alec Craig and Trevor Neeley each finished with nine points for the Vikings with Neeley hitting a trio of 3-pointers in the game. Jared Duzenbery added eight points for the Vikings.

Josh Anders paced Plymouth to its fourth straight win with a game-high 14 points.

Cam Eveland scored 11 points and Nick Felke added eight for the Pilgrims.

Valley, now 4-7, will host Rochester in a conference game Friday night and then entertain Winamac on Saturday afternoon. Plymouth, now 9-3, will host Concord in league play Friday night and then play at LaPorte on Saturday evening.
