SYRACUSE – The Wawasee High School cheerleading team wants to teach the next generation how to cheer, jump, stunt and dance like the Warriors do.

The cheer team will be running a Junior Warrior Cheer clinic on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 9-11 a.m. at the North Webster Elementary School gym. The clinic is open to anyone from age 3 through sixth grade. Cost of the clinic is $25 and includes a cheer T-shirt and a set of pom poms. Registration will run through Jan. 20, anyone signing in later than Jan. 20 will be assessed a $5 late fee, and not guaranteed a shirt or pom poms.

On Saturday, Jan. 30, the campers and cheer team will perform together at halftime of the Wawasee boys basketball varsity game against Lakeland. The varsity game will start at approximately 7:30 p.m., but campers are asked to be at the annex gym to check in between 7:45-8 p.m.

Parents can order a shirt for $12.
