Jeretta L. Bragg Taylor, 61, North Manchester, died at 4:55 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
She was born Sept. 1, 1954, in Logan County, W.Va. to Herbert Hoover and Joyette (Chafin) Bragg. She was a homemaker and attended Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester. She enjoyed going to The Inn with her best friend, Lois, drinking diet water and singing Karaoke. She loved sitting on her sister’s front porch joking with family and friends. Her favorite words were “Love You Mostest” “Whatever” and “You Tell ’em Bubby”. She also loved Christmas time and playing Mrs. Claus with Santa Claus, played by Jim Sturtsman.
She is survived by her companion: Jim Sturtsman, North Manchester; one son: Jack (Heather) Foust, Mooresville, N.C.; one daughter: Tonya (Jeffrey) Arrington, Mooresville, N.C.; one brother: Benny Bragg: Liberty Mills; one sister: Verdie (Bill) Howard, Liberty Mills; and five grandchildren. Three brothers are deceased.
Family and friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester. Services will be at 2 p.m. at the church after visitation. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate.
