Bric Lee Nifong, 49, Plymouth, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.
Bric was born March 2, 1966, in Plymouth, to Norman L. and Betty M. (Singrey) Nifong. On June 19, 1998, in Plymouth, he married Laura J. Harrell and she survives. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1984 and attended Purdue University for one year.
Bric worked at Michiana Contracting Inc. for the last 19 years. He was a mechanic, but did anything and everything that needed done. You could call him a “Jack of all trades”.
He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of the Brethren and then later in life started attending Crossroads Evangelical Free Church. Bric absolutely loved his family and spending as much time with them as he could. He enjoyed guns, traveling, Harley Davidson’s, Jeep, and NASCAR.
Surviving is his loving wife: Laura J. Nifong, Plymouth; parents: Norman L. and Betty M. Nifong, Bourbon; five daughters: Brittany Nifong, Bourbon; Heather Nifong, Columbus; Holly Ripley, Walkerton; Cheyenne Nifong, Kimmell; Bailey Nifong, Plymouth; five grandchildren: Hailee Darnell; Mason VanFossan; Nathan Shaffer Jr.; Harper Ripley; and Embry Shaffer. Also surviving is his sister and a brother-in-law: Holly and Mark Lindsey, Bremen; niece: Corynne Lindsey; nephew; Camden Lindsey; mother-in-law: Patricia Green, Plymouth; as well as eight brothers and sisters-in-law; and many more nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather-in-law: Louis Green and a brother-in-law: Larry Harrell.
The family will receive friends from 2-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan . 10, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, and from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday, Jan. 11, at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at Crossroads Evangelical Free Church, Plymouth, with Jim Carnes officiating.
Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bourbon.
