
Mr. Lloyd W. Hatfield 71, Rochester, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away Jan. 1, 2016, at his home.
Born in South Bend on Feb. 4, 1944, Lloyd William was a treasured son of Loren and Dorothy Hatfield. Growing up, he shared his childhood with two sisters and four brothers.
Lloyd served Oliver Ford as a detailing professional for many years, retiring in 2006. Known for his solid work ethic, he stayed busy doing custom home repairs. To relax, he enjoyed listening to the scanner or answering his CB with the handle, “Bullfrog.” He sang, played guitar and loved watching westerns.
Left to cherish Lloyd’s memory are his companion, Donna Hays, Rochester; a daughter, Tina Fernandez, Plymouth; four sons: Bill Hatfield and John Hatfield both of Plymouth and Rick (Lori) Hatfield and Ed Hatfield, Bremen; four brothers: Butch Hatfield, Elkhart, Rich Hatfield, Ft. Wayne, Dale Hatfield and Gary Hatfield.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wives: Loretta West Hatfield and Betty S. Hatfield; and two sisters: Kathy Haack and Pat Hardesty.
The family of Mr. Lloyd W. Hatfield will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Burial will be at Rochester’s Citizens Cemetery.
