GREENFIELD — The Whitko girls basketball team faced some stiff competition and would come out with two losses during the first day of the Greenfield-Central Tournament.

Whitko opened with a 71-47 loss to Pendleton Heights. In that game Aly Reiff led the way with 23 points, Brianna Cumberland added 12.

The Lady ‘Cats turned around and lost to Louisville Eastern 77-59. Reiff dished out 24 points in the game with Jen Reiff adding 13 and Cumberland scoring 10.

The ladies play at 1:30 p.m. today to finish out their tournament with Richmond.
