One was arrested Saturday, Dec. 26, following a three-vehicle accident at US 30 and SR 13.

PIERCETON — Three people were transported, one of whom was arrested Saturday, Dec. 26, following a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of US 30 and SR 13, Pierceton.

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

Driver Angela M. Carr, 38, Nickolas Drive, Lebanon, Tenn., was driving a blue 2006 Toyota and was stopped at a red light. Meanwhile, Nicholas S. Lindberg, 24, East Ladino Drive, Idaho Falls, Idaho, was approaching the intersection in a black semi-truck.

The light changed and Curtis E. Campbell, 67, South First Street, Pierceton, who was driving a silver 2012 Dodgeproceeded into the intersection. However, Lindberg did not stop in time and his semi collided with Campbell’s vehicle.

Carr had stopped to avoid being hit but some debris hit her vehicle.

A passenger in Campbell’s car, Starla J. Campbell, 66, South First Street, Pierceton, was taken to Lutheran Hospital with complaints of pain.

Lindberg and Campbell were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for a standard blood draw. However, Campbell was later arrested for operating while intoxicated.

Damage was estimated up to $100,000.
