NORTHEAST INDIANA — Indiana Department of Transportation has closed portions of US 6 in Elkhart County and portions of SR 5 in Noble County. Both areas are closed due to downed power lines.

US 6 is closed between the areas of SR 13, just north of Syracuse, east to US 33. NIPSCO has told state officials repair could take up to eight hours.

SR 5 is closed in Noble County from West CR 1100N to West Perry Road. Motorist are asking to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
