
Kathleen M. Haney, 71, Akron, formerly of Barnum, Minn., passed at 2:25 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne.
She was born Nov. 29, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minn., to George and Irene (Engebrit) Kuehl.
She had worked in the Probation Department Office in the Duluth Courthouse. She was a 1962 graduate of Clinton High School, Clinton. Kathleen was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Rochester. She enjoyed animals, her Jehovah’s Witness functions, as well as her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters: Tammi (Ted) Parker, Silver Lake, and Robin (Vince) Huse, Colorado Springs, Colo.; sons: Scott Vitale, Elkhart, and Ronald Haney, Mishawaka; grandchildren: David Haney, Bethany Haney, Brianna Haney, Wyatt Vitale and Dominick Haney; great-grandchildren: David Haney Jr. and Kacey Haney; and brothers: Dan (Sherry) Kuehl, Waco, Texas, and Tim Kuehl, Montgomery, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Worth Haney, and a sister, Norene Yates.
A service is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 West Rochester St. Akron, with Elder Timothy Detwiler officiating.
Visitation is set for 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Hartzler Funeral Home.
