WARSAW – A trio of rivalry games took place Thursday night in the Warsaw hoops tree.

In the battle of Tiger Town, host Edgewood bested Lakeview 35-8 in eighth grade boys hoops. Brian Elliott paced Edgewood once again with 12 points and Drake Hatfield came through with six points. Thad West was the high man for Lakeview with four points.

The Warsaw freshman boys team were up to the challenge against rival Wawasee, knocking off the Warriors 57-31 in Syracuse. Nolan Groninger led the Tigers with 14 points, Trevor Rumple was right behind with 12 points and Tyler Metzinger chimed in with 10 points. Wawasee were paced by Marshall Miller’s 15 points and Dylan Hepler dropped in eight points.

The freshman girls teams from Warsaw and Wawasee also met in Syracuse and the Lady Tigers triumphed 33-24. Lynae Dawson led the winners with 16 points and Faith Swihart finished with 10 points for the hosts.
