SYRACUSE – A slew of lifetime bests highlighted Wawasee’s double win against Plymouth Thursday night in Northern Lakes Conference swimming. The Wawasee boys swept all 12 events in a 131-51 scoreline while the girls won 11 of 12 events in a 130-56 final.

Four wins featured lifetime bests for the Wawasee swimmers. Jake Cowan had a 2:04.16 in the 200 free and a 5:34.02 in the 500 free, both wins and both were Cowan’s top individual efforts of his career. Zoe White also posted her best-ever swim in the 500 free at 6:39.29 and Hannah Rhoades performed the top six scoring dives of her four-year career with a post of 204.20.

Paige Miller and Shelby Adams each had a pair of wins for the Lady Warriors. Miller won the butterfly (1:01.64) and the backstroke (1:00.89) while Adams topped the 200 free (2:08.76) and the breaststroke (1:15.87). Kayla Hershberger won the 50 (26.93) and Alyssa Koch took the 100 free at 1:02.63.

Wawasee’s medley relay took honors at 2:03.96, the 200 free relay at 1:55.05 and 400 free relay at 4:07.10.

Plymouth’s Jessica Drury broke through in the individual medley at 2:35.13.

Jared Krugman and Brady Robinson were double winners for the Warrior boys. Robinson took the 50 (23.67) and the butterfly (58.89) and Krugman the IM (2:13.77) and the breaststroke (1:08.78). Logan Brugh claimed the backstroke (1:01.50), Chase Ritter the 100 free (57.57) and Austin Dunithan was the top diver at 186.70.

The medley relay (1:56.25), 200 free relay (1:41.15) and 400 free relay (3:41.62) all went to the Warriors.

Wawasee moves to 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the NLC on the girls side and 3-2 overall and 3-2 in the NLC on the boys side, staring down holiday break before returning Tuesday, Jan. 5, in home showdowns with Northridge.
