Valley On The Double At Winamac
WINAMAC – A red-hot start for the Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team made a quality matchup a one-sided affair Thursday night. A 23-4 run in the first quarter lifted Valley to a 77-36 win at Winamac.
Valley took the hot start and continued into the half, leading 40-16 at the break and outscored Winamac 19-8 coming out of halftime.
Anne Secrest led the charge again for Valley, scoring 21 points and totaling six rebounds, five steals, three assists and a block. Brynda Krueger also had a big night with 14 points, nine assists and five rebounds.
Sophie Bussard chipped in 10 points and three steals and Meredith Brouyette had seven points and five assists.
Winamac, which sits atop the Hoosier North Athletic Conference with a 3-0 mark, falls to 7-4 overall. Tippecanoe Valley, which will host Whitko in a huge Three Rivers Conference showdown Saturday night, moves to 10-1 overall. Both Valley and Whitko are undefeated in the TRC with 3-0 marks.
