One Injured In SR 15 Crash In Wabash County
WABASH COUNTY — A Danville man was flown from the scene of a two-vehicle accident on SR 15 in Wabash County, after being extricated from his vehicle.
At 11:11 a.m. today, Dec. 16, the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department responded to a personal injury accident at the intersection of SR 15 and CR 400N. The preliminary investigation shows a 2006 Chevrolet pick-up, driven by Robert W. Walls, 88, Danville, was northbound on SR 15.
For unknown reasons at this time, Walls pulled his vehicle off of the roadway on the eastside. It appears he then tried to pull back onto SR 15 or cross the roadway. A northbound vehicle, a 2014 Ford pick-up, driven by Jerome A. Schepers, 62, Santa Claus,could not avoid the collision and struck Walls’ vehicle on the left side.
Walls was transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne by Lutheran Air. At the time of this release, it is unknown what injuries he sustained. Schepers was not injured.
The investigation is continuing.
