Joseph M. BarrettJoseph M. Barrett, 88, of Timbercrest Home, North Manchester, formerly of Warsaw passed away on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 at the Kosciusko Community Hospital.

He was born on May 9, 1927, in Harrodsburg, to Hollice and Jeanette (Goen) Barrett. On June 20, 1948, he married Betty Morehead, who preceded him in 2008. In 2009, he married Elsie Hoffman, who survives. He retired as a sales manager for Farm Bureau Co-op serving Northern Indiana. He was a 1945 graduate of Boswell High School. He was a WWII US Army era veteran, receiving victory and occupation medals. Joseph was a longtime member of the North Webster Church of the Brethren.

He is survived by his wife: Elsie Barrett, North Manchester; two daughters: Holly (John) Urschalitz, Warsaw; Amy (Joe) Coffey, Goleta, Calif.; four sons: Allen (Margaret) Barrett, Leiters Ford; Kerry (Denise) Barrett, North Webster; Rob (Bianca) Hoffman, Custer, Wis.; Chris (Kathy) Hoffman, Prescott, Wis.; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Stella Gillen, Lafayette; one brother: Tom Barret, Lafayette. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Betty Barrett; six sisters: Catherine Jackson; Mary Waukechon; Hazel Ogden; Dorothy Newtson; Elsie McMahon; and Louise Baumgardt; and three brothers: Jack; Frank; and Bill Barrett; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at the North Webster Church of the Brethren with pastor Bob Wyman officiating. Burial will follow at the North Webster Cemetery – Mock Addition. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Webster Church of the Brethren or Gideons International.
