AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School 6th grade boys basketball teams went 1-1 versus Maconaquah Thursday night.

The Valley A team dropped a 41-32 final. Brayden Shepherd led the way with 13 points. Rex Kirchenstien netted eight points, DJ Estep seven and Payton Potter four for Valley.

The B team came away with a 23-16 victory. Torren Lewis had five points and Wade Melanson, Damion Kohler and Thomas Clark each had four points. Isaac Shafer, Gavin Grossman and Owen Kirchenstien each added two points.
