SILVER LAKE — Silver Lake held a special celebration to kick off the state’s bicentennial celebration today.

Town Council President Chad Miner signed a proclamation for the event, and cake was provided for any one stopping by the town hall.

The state’s bicentennial flag was raised during a brief ceremony by Miner, Town Marshal Craig Hollopeter and Joey McNeal Water superintendent.
