Nettie J. Clouse, 92, Albion, passed away on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at Northridge Village Nursing Home where she resided the last nine months. She was born on May 20, 1923, to Edgar and Margaret “Jane” (Perry) Coulter in W. Va. She married Donald E. Clouse from Albion on June 14, 1942, in W. Va.
Nettie was a member of the American Legion of Ligonier and the Eagles of Albion. As a mother she was a loving and compassionate woman with a feisty sense of humor. She truly enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren. While her children were growing up she always had an open door for everyone. She enjoyed people from all walks of life.
Nettie is survived by three children: Catherine Hartman, Albion; Donald ‘Rodney’ (Karen ‘Sue’) Clouse, Ligonier; Robin Budd, Ligonier; nine grandchildren: Tammy (Edward) Steele, Albion; Jody (Shon) Hoeppner, Columbia City; Sandra (Lee) Stringfellow, Wawaka; Joe (Lindsay) Hartman, Fort Wayne; Brad (Deanna) Clouse, Elkhart; Daniel (Miranda) Clouse, Kimmell; Michael Clouse; and Tammy, Syracuse; Stan (Trisha) Budd, Ligonier; Jaired Budd, Ligonier; and 27 great-grandchildren with two more on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Donald; two son-in-laws: Harold Hartman; and Jerry Budd; and nine brothers and sisters.
There will be a private cremation committal held at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
