Ryan OwenRyan L. Owen, 54, Syracuse, passed away on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015. He was born on May 20, 1961, in Goshen, to Robert L. “Bob” and Jean A. (Moser) Owen.

He was a lifetime Syracuse area resident, graduated in 1979 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse, 1983 from Indiana University in Bloomington, and Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, Ga. with his Doctorate Degree. He was married on April 14, 1984, in Syracuse, to Vicki L. Evans who survives. He was the owner and operator of Stellhorn Chiropractic in Fort Wayne since 1989.

He formerly attended St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Syracuse and was a member of several chiropractic associations.

He is survived by wife: Vicki Owen, Syracuse; mother: Jean Owen, Goshen; sister: Renita de la Garza, Muncie; brother and sister-in-law: Greg and Deb Evans, Holland, Mich.; sister-in-law: Sherri Evans-Lawton, Wasola, Mo.; niece: Allison Evans, New Orleans, La.; four nephews: Graham (Justine) de la Garza, Germany; Benjamin Evans, New Paltz, N.Y.; Dustin Evans-Lawton; and Tanner Evans-Lawton, both of Wasola, Mo. He was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law: Mark Evans-Lawton.

Private family services will be held. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw. Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
