Jaxon Andrew LantzInfant Jaxon Andrew Lantz, 4 months old, passed away at 10:32 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Jaxon was born on July 24, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne and he was the son of Tadd and Emily (Romine) Lantz. At birth, he weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and was 18-½” long.

Three hours after Jaxon was born, he was flown by helicopter to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Late in November, he was transferred to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Jaxon, lovingly called Jax, was such a strong little fighter each and every day. He loved snuggle time with his momma; he loved watching Sunday afternoon football with his daddy; and he loved watching his mobile friends. Jax, with his adorable face and big brown eyes, melted the hearts of everyone. Jaxon touched so many people in his short life!

He is survived by his loving parents: Tadd and Emily Lantz, Fort Wayne; grandparents: Mark and Jackie Lantz, Fort Wayne; Dan and Diana Romine, Columbia City; and Julie Copeland, Columbia City; aunts and uncles: Tiffany (Walt) Lyons, Tampa, Fla.; Kattie Lantz, Fort Wayne; Michelle (Adam) Mohler; Ben (Emily) Romine; Eric (Emily) Romine, all of Columbia City; Jon (Megan) Romine, Cape Coral, Fla.; Rebekah (Greg) Payne, Avon; Josh (Kayla) Romine, Jersey City, N.J.; and Blake Miller, Fort Wayne; cousins: Josh; Jason; Alyvia; Madison; Hannah; Owen; Ellie; Grace; Randy; Ava and Alyssa. He was preceded in death by an infant uncle: Joel Andrew Romine.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at DeMoney Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, Columbia City, with calling two hours prior. He will be laid to rest at South Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to either the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati or to St. Vincent Foundation NICU.
