
MIDDLEBURY – The eighth grade boys basketball team from Edgewood Middle School stood tall Saturday as champions of the Northridge Raider Shootout.
Edgewood won game one over East Noble 42-30. Brian Elliott was the high man for Edgewood with 17 points and Tedros Berelsman chipped in eight points. In game two, Edgewood clipped the host Raiders 37-35. Elliott again led Edgewood with 17 points and Blake Marsh had six points for the champions.
Team members for the Edgewood champs include Blake Marsh, Brian Elliott, Tedros Berelsman, Keagan Larsh, Jaylen Coon, Drew Yeager, Noa Tilden, Conner Lennox, Wyatt Amiss, Carter Schu, Drake Hatfield, Noah Bohnenkamper and coach Eric Ewert.
Tuesday night, Edgewood kept the beat going with a 39-8 win at home against Manchester. Marsh and Drew Yeager each led the winners with seven points while Elliott added six points.
