Rebecca Ruth Snodderly Stork, 64, Bastrop, Texas, went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, after a short battle with cancer.

She was born Dec. 23, 1950, in Fort Wayne, to the Rev. Doyle and Audrey Snodderly. She married Michael Stork, who survives, and they were married for 29 years. She lived most of her life in the Fort Wayne and Warsaw area.

Rebecca was a avid Bible reader, homemaker, gardener, and how she loved her roses, along with any chance to fish. She was a past member of the Victory Rock Church of Sidney. She was known for her generosity toward others. She would be quick to give to someone before she would take for herself. She was so blessed to receive a double lung transplant in Nov. 2014. She would be the first to tell everyone to donate as many organs as possibly can to help those in need. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was a graduate of Fort Wayne’s South Side High School class of 1969. She was the produce manager for Owen’s Supermarket, Warsaw.

Also surviving Rebecca are two daughters: Tammy (Randy) Holland; and Christina (Dan) Hoffman; three sons: Steve (Kara) Gordin; Matthew (Tracie) Gordin; and Jimmy Stork; three sisters: Deborah (Jerry) Davis; Martha (Rev. Rick) Johnson; and Rachel (Jerry) Howard; six brothers: Doyle C. Snodderly Jr.; the Rev. David (Linda) Snodderly; Philip (Vicky) Snodderly; Jonathan (Koren) Snodderly; the Rev. Matthias (Nicki) Snodderly; 16 grandchildren: Teddy Burchett Jr.; Trent Gordin; Jacob Burchett; Kaitlyn Gordin; Madisyn Gordin; Jack Burchett; Emily Burchett; Lauren Zuniga; John Burchett; Mason Gordin; Seth Gordin; Bella Zuniga; Chase Hoffman; Natalie Stork; Iver Stork; and Conner Hoffman; a great-granddaughter: Elsa Mae Burchett; her father and mother-in-law: James and Ruthann Stork; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Nathan Snodderly; and a daughter; Melisa Sue Gordin.

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Souls Harbor Assembly of God Church, Auburn, with Rev. David Snodderly officiating. Cremation has taken place.

Memorials may be made to Resolutions HOspice, Bastrop, Texas, for it’s wonderful care they provided Becky and her family.
