MARSHALL COUNTY — Marshall County Police Department were dispatched around 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, to a residence on Timber Lane, Plymouth, in reference to a stray bullet hitting the home, almost hitting the resident. The bullet eventually landed on the living room floor.

It is currently believed the bullet was not intentionally fired at the home, but was likely due to careless handling of the firearm. No injuries were reported in this incident, but the Marshall County Police Department would like to remind all citizens in Marshall County to always practice safe and responsible gun ownership.

When shooting, never fire into the air, as the bullets are lethal when they return to the ground, and always fire into a back stop.
