The Triton boys basketball team checks in at No. 5 this week in the latest Associated Press poll.

The Trojans are ranked in Class 1-A after starting the season with a pair of wins over Oregon-Davis and Washington Township. Triton lost a 40-36 final at home to Plymouth Tuesday night to fall to 2-1 on the season.

NorthWood is No. 3 and Mishawaka Marian No. 5 in the Class 3-A poll this week. The Panthers, who play at Triton Friday night, are 2-0. Marian opens its season Saturday night at Fort Wayne Luers.
