Kenneth M. Perkins Sr., 75, Warsaw, died at 5:35 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, in Canterbury Nursing and Rehab, Fort Wayne.
He was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Hazard, Ky., to James Thomas and Mary Jane (King) Perkins. He was a high school graduate and served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a mechanic, and lived in Warsaw for 25 years.
Kenneth is survived by two sons: Kenneth ‘Monty’ Perkins Jr., Warsaw; Bob (Tammy) Perkins, Fort Wayne; daughter: Mary Perkins, Warsaw; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six sisters: Christine Lloyd, Beattyville, Ky.; Irene (Kenny) Riley, Garrett; Darlene (Harry) Riley, Auburn; Marilyn (Walter) Couch, LaFontaine; Elaine Beck, Auburn; Tina (Ray) Lawson, Auburn; and two brothers: Jerry Lee (Marilyn) Perkins, Nicholasville, Ky.; and Lloyd Perkins, Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his wife: Sandra Perkins, on Nov. 23, 2010; daughter: Evelyn “Tina” Hyde, on Jan. 25, 2010; son: Albert Maples, in 2001; parents: James and Mary Jane Perkins; and three sisters: Lyda Ruth Perkins; Lorraine Perkins; and Helen Perkins.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, officiated by nephew Pastor Justin Couch. Titus Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
