NEW PARIS — A Columbia City man was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 18, after being pursued by Goshen Police.

Michael Binstock, 54, Columbia City, reportedly robbed the Dollar General store located on SR 15 in New Paris at 4:26 p.m. It is reported that Binstock was armed and forcefully took cash from the store.

Goshen police attempted to make a traffic stop on Binstock’s vehicle, but the driver fled and was later apprehended.

Binstock was arrested for armed robbery, felony fleeing, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.

Binstock has been arrested on similar charges in previous incidents.
