ELKHART COUNTY — A motorcycle versus buggy crash from Sept. 3, has claimed the life of one man, Tracy A. Newcomer, Nappanee.

The accident occurred at 3:07 p.m. on CR 1350N, near CR 200W. Responders arrived locating the motorcycle driver, Newcomer, in the roadway. He was airlifted from the scene and taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, in critical condition with head and multiple injuries.

Family and friends have followed along with Newcomer’s recovery process on Facebook and on CarePages, a site dedicated to the healing stories of loved ones.

Thompson Lengacher Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee confirmed that Newcomer passed away at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17. Newcomer was recovering at Elkhart Hospice House, Elkhart.

Nappanee Missionary Church will hold visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20. The funeral will also be held at the church at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21.
