Marjorie E. Beller, 87, of Warsaw and formerly of Goshen, died Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Warsaw Meadow Care Center, Warsaw, where she had been the last year.
She was born Feb. 26, 1928, in Muncie, to Arthur and Josephine (Dentner) Maitlen. On April 25, 1948 she married Clarence “Bud” Beller in Muncie. He died in 1992.
She is survived by a son: Doug (Yvonne) Beller, Rochester; two grandchildren: Chris (Amy) Beller, Warsaw; and Brandon (Alex) Beller, Syracuse; two step-grandchildren: Austin White, Kokomo; and Houston White, Kewanna; three great-grandchildren: Gibson; Chloe; and Cayden Beller; and two step-great-grandchildren: Nevaeh; and Emma. He was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister: Joanna Kegerreis.
A longtime Goshen resident, Mrs. Beller graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1946 and Ball State University in 1948. She worked at Johnson Controls for 32 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren where she served on the church board and as chairman of the Witness Commission. She also served on the board of The Window. She was a member of Questers #315, the Goshen Eastern Star and Maplecrest Country Club.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19. Pastor Bev Weaver will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
