Tommy W. ‘Tom’ McClure, 71, North Manchester, died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 15, 1944, in North Manchester, to Howard and Ruth (Grossnickle) McClure, both deceased.
Tom was a driver of W and W Concrete for 27 years, and retired in 2010. He was married to Kathy Hopkins on Aug. 25, 1990. She survives, along with son: Jeff (Amy) McClure, Valdosta, Ga.; daughter: Danielle (Julio) Luevano, North Manchester; stepdaughter: Marjory (Brian) Stayer, North Manchester; brother: Steve (Rita) McClure, North Manchester; sister: Patti Flora, Wabash; and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by one brother: Ted McClure.
Tom was the Assistant fire chief in North Manchester for eight years and a firefighter for 22 years. He loved to camp, NASCAR, his family, his dog, Sammy, and his cat, Morris. He also loved riding his golf cart around town.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, also at the Mortuary, officiated by Pastor Kurt Stout. There will be an IVFA Memorial service at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, at a later date.
