Treva M. Hoffer, 98, Winona Lake, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 6:16 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, in Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake.
On Feb. 14, 1917, she was born in Clunette, to William and Nancy (Hall) Martz. She was united in marriage to John Hoffer on June 15, 1935, in Bourbon, who preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1997.
Treva lived the first 60 years of her life in Kosciusko County, until moving to Florida, where she lived for thirty years. She was a homemaker and a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Atwood.
She is survived by her son: Douglas (Phyllis) Hoffer, Warsaw; daughter-in-law: Dorothy Hoffer, Warsaw; nine grandchildren: Steven (Mary) Hoffer, Roseau, Min.; Kathy Horral, Chesapeake, Va.; Darlene (Brad) Whaley, Warsaw; Michael Kelley, Dothan, Ala.; Brett Hoffer, Fort Wayne; Jennifer Schlegel, Fort Wayne; Lori Verkamp, Jasper; Kelli Anderson, Sarasota, Fla.; and Stephanie Stovall, Sarasota, Fla. Treva is also survived by three step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son: Larry F. Hoffer; and her grandson: Jon W. Hoffer.
Memorial services for Treva M. Hoffer will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Atwood with Pastor Steven Hoffer and Pastor Mike Beezley officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
