MENTONE — Jon D. Schaeffer, 53, South CR 900W, Mentone, refused medical treatment at the scene, after his 1973 International grain truck flipped early Monday morning, Nov. 2.

The accident occurred at 7:21 a.m. on West Main Street, west of North Franklin Street in Mentone.

Schaeffer told police he was traveling westbound on Main Street, when the passenger front tire fell of the truck. The truck continued for a short distance before being jerked to the right by the railroad track. The truck then flipped onto its side on the railroad tracks.

Damage was estimated up to $10,000.
