Eleanor E. Eisenhour, 96, Goshen, died 7:10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen. She was born June 15, 1919, in Goshen to Chauncey L. Hepler and Myrtle A. Gellette. She married Daris Voorhees in Aug. 1938, and he died May 1949. She then married Glenn C. Eisenhour in June 1954 and he died in Oct. 1981.
Surviving are her three daughters: Kay (Bob) Neff, New Paris; Trula (Steven) Mishler, New Paris; and Deria (Gordon) Clark, Elkhart; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents; two husbands; and two sisters: Donna Bell Huffman; and Fern Gardner.
Eleanor worked as a beautician and worked as an office and factory worker at Penn Electric. She also was a homemaker. She was a member of the New Paris Church of the Brethren. She was a 1937 graduate of Goshen High school and graduate of Wayne University of Beauty Culture Fort Wayne. She was involved in the Elkhart County Homemakers Club; Chautauqua Club; Maxwelton Country Club and Sigma ETA Sorority Arts and Ceramics Group.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, and 9-10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen. Pastor Stan Godfrey will officiate. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the New Paris Church of Brethren.
