It’s Christmas Bucks Time Again

MILFORD — Do you hear those sleigh bells ringing? Yes, it might not even be November yet, but with the annual Christmas Bucks promotion, sponsored by The Papers Inc. and local merchants, now is a great time to get the ball rolling on Christmas gifts.
Starting Wednesday, Oct. 28, the promotion will run four consecutive weeks through Nov. 18. Cut out the entry forms found in this edition of ‘the PAPER,’ fill them out and deposit them at stores and business listed below. Entry forms will also appear in the Nov. 4, 11 and 18 editions of ‘the PAPER’ and are also available at participating merchant locations.
A total of $2,000 in Christmas Bucks will be given away by Kosciusko County merchants. First prize is $800 and second prize $500. Third, fourth and fifth places will receive $150 each while sixth, seventh, eight, ninth and 10th places prizes are $50 each.
Those who win Christmas Bucks can redeem them at any business taking part in the contest. It is not necessary to purchase anything or to be present to win.
Winners will be announced in the Dec. 2 edition of ‘the PAPER.’
Christmas Bucks and vacation for two winners will be chosen at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at the corporate office of The Papers in Milford. Each advertiser will draw one winner from his coupons. Store winners will all be placed in a drum and grand prize winners will be drawn for the Christmas Bucks. A second drawing will be made among the advertisers to determine the winner of the vacation for two.
The prize will be awarded in the form of a flexible vacation from Menno Travel in Goshen, which can be used to plan the perfect trip. Examples of trips (based on the award amount) include a three-night package to Las Vegas complete with round-trip airfare from South Bend and transfers and accommodations at Bally’s Hotel; a weekend package on Mackinac Island, which includes a stay at the Grand Hotel; a trip to Branson, Mo., that features star-studded live performances, theme parks and shopping in the beautiful Ozark Mountains; and three-night trip to Memphis, Tenn., which includes a dinner for two, a Memphis city tour, plus admission to Graceland and the Rock n Soul Museum.
