WARSAW — Two were injured yesterday, Monday, Oct. 26 in an accident at East Main Street and North Bronson Street, Warsaw.

According to a report from the Warsaw Police Department, a vehicle driven by Ursula M. Holderman, 87, North CR 875W, Etna Green, was southbound on North Bronson Street. She proceeded through a stop sign into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by Barbara E. Shanes, 70, North Colfax Street, Warsaw.

Shanes reportedly could not stop her vehicle in time and it collided with Holderman’s. A witness was sitting on her front porch and called police while running to the vehicles to check on the drivers.

Both cars ran off the street into a nearby yard, Holderman’s car striking a tree before the two came to a stop. Emergency responders removed the passenger door to free her from the vehicle.

Lutheran EMS was on the scene and assisted both drivers, who complained of upper arm and shoulder pain.
