NLC Releases Volleyball All-NLC
GOSHEN – As two of its members prepare for regional action tonight, the Northern Lakes Conference released its All-NLC list for volleyball Tuesday afternoon.
No. 10 Elkhart Memorial, which visit LaPorte this evening in the Class 4-A regional, won the NLC outright with a 7-0 mark. A quartet of players were named All-NLC in Bailey Brouwer, Krystal Grubb, Darrian Mowery and Kaylin Szucs. Memorial also had Kayona Malone and Autumn Taylor named Honorable Mention All-NLC and Chargers head coach Jacquie Rost was named Coach of the Year.
Warsaw was 5-2 in the conference and had Peyton Adamiec, Cassie Hoag, Jordyn Lindeman and Caroline Mayer All-NLC and Lexie Day Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Concord and Northridge both finished 4-3 in the round robin. Concord had Nicky Chupp and Grace Kindy named All-NLC and Francesca Rodino Honorable Mention All-NLC. Northridge had Kelly Miller named All-NLC and Hannah Ritchie Honorable Mention All-NLC.
NorthWood, the other club reaching the regional in hosting Leo tonight, finished tied with Goshen with 3-4 marks. Wood’s Kennedy Wiens and Sydney Wysong were All-NLC as was Goshen’s Calsey Gruzdov. Carly Gingerich of Goshen earned Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Plymouth’s 1-6 mark afforded Lacy Poczik an Honorable Mention All-NLC nod while Wawasee finished 0-7 and did not have a player make the list.
Elkhart Memorial coach Jacquie Rost was honored as the NLC Volleyball Coach of the Year.
