Marilyn B. Kenipe, 85, of Pierceton, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, in Mason Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Warsaw. She was born July 21, 1930 in Carmel, to Harry Russell and Gladys (Rigle) Barnes.
She was united in marriage to Donald F. Kenipe on June 17, 1951, in Indianapolis. She was a graduate of Frankton High School, Frankton. She was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, Pierceton, and a former member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, Hartford City. In addition, she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Her employment includes Valentine and Walmer Law office of Warsaw where she served as an Administrative Assistant for 10 years and furthermore she was employed by the Office of the Clerk of Kosciusko County from 1984 to 1992 as a Child Support Clerk.
Survivors include her husband: Donald Frederick Kenipe, Pierceton; a son: Bruce S. Kenipe, Dunkirk; daughters: Barbara E. (Jeffrey) Genter, Mansfield, Ohio; and Jane E. Cope, Fishers; other survivors include sisters: Rose M. Busby, Frankton; Gail Voss; Victoria (Jim) Sharp; Cathy (Waine) Ritenour, all of Hartford City; and Teri Sueyoshi, Ewa Beach, Hawaii; brothers: Steven (Deborah) Barnes, Hartford City; Michael (Bonnie) Barnes, Warren; and one grandson: Bryan D. Kenipe, Muncie. Brothers: Donald R. and James S. Barnes preceded her.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, in the Funeral Chapel with Pastor Holly White officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
