James “Jim” Franklin Dubbs of Warsaw, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at his residence at the age of 67.
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where he was a 1968 graduate of Warsaw High School. In 1969 he started working at Dalton Foundry in Warsaw, and worked there for 25 years until he retired in 1994. Jim also worked part time at Marsh Supermarket in Warsaw as well as working part-time at Kosciusko Community YMCA. He attended Cook’s Chapel Church in Warsaw.
Jim played in the Flight, Saloonatics, and the Random Play Bands for several years. He loved to camp and fish, but most of all he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1948, in Warsaw, to Gerald Dubbs and Betty (Brite) Dubbs Stoner. On May 1, 1970, he was married to Judy A. (Rosbrugh) Dubbs.
He leaves behind his son: DUsty Dubbs, Warsaw; a very special adopted son: Anthony (Michelle) Masterson; their daughter; Sophie, Orange Park, Fla.; daughter: Melissa (Nick) Winters, Pierceton; four granddaughters: Branda; Hannah; Haleigh; and Delanie; two step-granddaughters: Sophia and Donna Winters; and two great-grandsons: Brayden; and Jaxon.
Also surviving is his brother: Bill Dubbs, Fort Wayne; stepfather: Don Stoner, Warsaw; five sisters: Donna (Ricardo) Lagos, Texas; Ruby (Trent) Biller, Warsaw; Donna Hickman, Syracuse; Susie Stoner, Dayton; Deb (Brian) Lucas, Delphi; five nephews; Kyle Rosebrugh; Orion Rosbrugh; Jarod (Alison) Rosebrugh; Josh (Krystal) Smith; Joe (Jayme) Smith; and his niece: Nichole (Jake) Roberson. He was preceded in death by his father: Gerald Dubbs; mother: Betty (Brite) Dubbs Stoner; and his uncle Don Dubbs.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. His memorial service will follow visitation and will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, and will be officiated by Pastor Earl Futch and Gene Frye.
