Daniel 'Dan' Leroy TerrellDaniel “Dan” Leroy Terrell of Warsaw, went to be with the Lord at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at Warsaw Meadows Care Center at the age of 77.

Dan was a 1956 graduate of Lagro High School in Lagro. In 1956 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy working as an Aviation Radar Technician until his honorable discharge in 1960.

He was a resident of Kosciusko County, for the past 53 years where he worked for 38 years as a pressman for R.R. Donnelley’s in Warsaw retiring in 1999. Dan was a member of Dutchtown Brethren Church of Warsaw. He enjoyed working at the church, flying RC Airplanes, fishing, camping, gold prospecting, metal detecting, but most of all he enjoyed his family.

He was born on Nov. 28, 1937, in Versailles, to Clifford Roy Terrell and Cora Marie (Casper) Terrell. On Oct. 19, 1958, in Roann, he was married to Carolyn Louise (Williamson) Terrell, who survives in Warsaw.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son: Michael Terrell, Burkett; daughter: Annette Baker, Warsaw; four grandchildren: Tracee and Chase Terrell, Burkett; Brittany Baker, Warsaw; Brooke Baker, Tippecanoe; and two great-grandchildren: Carter Hodges and Carlyn Francis, both of Warsaw. Also surviving are two brothers: Elden (Sue) Terrell, Kokomo; Lanny (Gail) Terrell, Kalamazoo, Mich.; and two sisters: Joann (Leroy) Kelly, Wabash; Patsy (Tom) Berry, Roann. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Jack Worth. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in North Manchester, Indiana with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #49, V.F.W. #1126 and active members of the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.

Memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association, Chicago, and would be appreciated by the family.
