Joy E. Williams, 63, of Syracuse, passed away at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at her home. She was born on Jan. 10, 1952, in Teegarden, to Buel and Martha (Hoover) Wheeler.
She graduated from Laville High School and lived most of her life in the Teegarden, Nappanee and Syracuse areas except for a few years in Alabama. She was a homemaker and was married on March 3, 1979, in Teegarden, to Jerry W. Williams who survives.
She formerly attended the United Pentecostal Church in Walkerton.
She is survived by her husband: Jerry Williams, Syracuse; daughter: Amanda Scott, Niles, Mich.; two sons: Tim Hostetler, Smithtown, Ala.; James (Krystal Spraque) Williams, New Paris; five grandchildren; sister: Joan Surface, Plymouth; brother: David (Cindy) Wheeler, South Bend.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister: Doris Jean Boocher.
No public services will be held. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County is in charge of arrangements.
