Wilma A. Johnson, 99, formerly of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, in Sarasota, Fla. where she resided.
She was born to Edwin and Iva Gay on January 8, 1916, in Etna Green. She was employed for several years at Millers Merry Manor and was a member of Dutchtown Brethren Church both in Warsaw.
She is survived by her two daughters: Mary Ellen Swope, Sarasota, Fla.; Doris Yoder, Warsaw; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandhcildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband: Lofton, who passed away in 1975, and five siblings: Lester; Victor Bernice; Mildred; and Mabel.
Visitation for Wilma will be held at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw with Pastor Jack Worth officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Dutchtown Brethren Church, care of the building fund, Warsaw. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida and Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home in Warsaw are handling the arrangements.
